Download full Foo concert - 4/3/96, Toronto - rare performances and early foo [05 Oct 2008|09:38am]
dtang4
[ mood | hungry ]

I uploaded a full Foo Fighters concert from '96 (4/3/96, Toronto) for the foo fighters bbs, but decided I'll share it as well.
http://allrespect.com/user_rantrave.php?user=dave&rant=3

This show has some rare performances...
*Chicken Derby (aka My Poor Brain)
*Satan's in the Manger jam
*Floaty (Petra on vocals)

It also has a lot of early foo and pocketwatch stuff... e.g. winnebago, butterflies, podunk, gas chamber, etc.

Here are my other full concerts. I can upload them on a per request basis (since they take a long time to upload). It's not just all foo (tho mostly):

Looking for Rare Music? [01 Jun 2008|09:00am]
dtang4
Hey guys,
So, I'm posting this to all communities that I think would be interested. If you're looking for rare albums and such, check out this page: http://www.allrespect.com/collection_search.php?biggest
There's a search box on the right side. You can type in a band name or album name that you're looking for.

It's kinda hit or miss, depending on what you're looking for, but I did some searches with very positive results. For instance, if you're a Foo Fighters fan, I found all these albums:
In Your Honor - Owned by 3 members
One by One - Owned by 3 members
The Colour And The Shape - Owned by 2 members
There Is Nothing Left to Lose - Owned by 2 members

Rock Music Community Open to Public [24 Nov 2007|07:10pm]
dtang4
I was invited to this rock music community a while back. At the time, the site was by invite only, but it's now open for anyone to sign up. Here's the site: http://www.allrespect.com/

It's pretty cool and let's you find other people who share your same taste in music. You can also get music news and find others going to the same concert shows. You can even add a little form to your LJ page to compare your visitor's taste in music with your own. I got one on my LJ if you wanna see.

Anyway, I'm rambling... just thought I'd share this with the community! Later.

Go to Concerts? [03 Sep 2007|05:54pm]

[ mood | mischievous ]

Yo,
Another update for what is becoming one of my frequented sites, www.AllRespect.com. They recently added a new Concerts feature. The idea is for you to find other concert goers who are attending the same concerts and then share videos, mp3s, photos, etc. from that show.

The feature is not really being used, but I think it's a good idea, so I'm helping spread the word here. Anywhere, there are still some more invites left to join the new music community. Here's the link:
http://www.allrespect.com/invite.php?promo=LJ

Enjoy, folks.

Cool Rock Music Community [28 May 2007|03:56pm]

[ mood | anxious ]

Hey all,
I thought you may be interested in this new site, AllRespect.com.

It's a music community for people to find others with the same taste in music (mostly rock/alternative from what I see). You can also create your Music Compatibility Test to add to your LJ for your visitors to check how similar their taste in music is to yours. Check out mine on my journal.

Anyway, the site is still in beta and by invite only. However, they have a couple promotions going on -- one for LJ users (lucky us, eh?):
http://www.allrespect.com/invite.php?promo=LJ

You can read a bit more about the site (clearer than what I'm explaining) here:
http://www.allrespect.com/about.php

Here's my page if you get bored:

Cheers.

Hey everyone! Sorry, I have been so absent, but college has definitely been kicking my ass all over the place. And I just wanted to ask you all one question to try to take a cattle prod to the community and get all of your input:

Thoughts on A Perfect Circle's Emotive?

There seems to be a lot of mixed feelings on the CD from the people I have talked to. So don't be shy, use those fingers =)

Hm...we definitly need to promote this community more around Livejournal. I haven't been able to promote a lot lately cuz I've been busy getting ready to go back to school this week. So I think you guys should try to promote this community so we get more people to join and stuff. Oh man, I'm looking at a website right now of upcoming concerts coming to my area and there isn't really a lot of good shows coming up. I'm going to WAAF's Locobazooka concert next month so I'm definitly excited about that even though I've seen half of the bands on the bill but hey, I'm still going though, lol. I'm so excited to see Shinedown, Crossfade, and Dropbox again with some other cool bands like Kittie, Saliva, and Josh Todd from Buckcherry, hehe. The Killers is having a show on October 7th and I do want to go see them also but it depends on school though, blah. Well, I shall be off for now but we definitly need to promote this community more.

Name: Margaret, though some people like to call me Maggie.
Age: 17
Location: Crystal Lake, IL  (northern suburbs of Chicago)
Your 5 Favorite Bands: The Smashing Pumpkins, Kill Hannah, Interpol, Pearl Jam, Pretty Girls Make Graves.... (I have tons more favorite bands and most of them are in my user info)
Favortite Concert you went to: Hmmm probably the smashing pumpkins second to last show ever at the United Center. It was so sad because I knew it would be the last time I'd see them. And at the time I was worried I'd never see Billy live again, but then he came out with Zwan like a year later and I saw them three times and then saw his first solo show...lol.
Or Curiosa. I got to finally see Interpol live and ran into Mat and Greg from Kill Hannah. It was a pretty awesome night! :D
Anything else we should know about you?
Uh... well, I play guitar, I irish step dance, I'm absolutely obsessed with the color lime green, and obsessed with the music I listen to. I guess you should know that lol.

Name: Misti
Age: 15
Location: Alabama
Your 5 Favorite Bands: Um. That's a hard one. I hate choosing. Hmm....Atreyu, Evanescence, AFI, Avenged Sevenfold, and....Linkin Park, I guess.
Favortite Concert you went to: I'd say Smile Empty Soul...cause I'm a loser who's only been to, like, 3 concerts and because when I saw SES I met ALL the members.
Anything else we should know about you? I'm an art-nerd.
